The New Year came to the Vaughn household without a lot of fan fare. I didn’t stay up until Midnight. I didn’t drink champagne. And I didn’t make New Years Resolutions.
I go to bed early so I knew I was never going to make it to midnight. I love my sleep! (more on that later)
My husband was working on New Year’s Eve so I saved the champagne until he got home. We drank it last night.
I didn’t make resolutions because I always have lists. I have lists for every day. I have lists for each month and I have lists through out the year.
Can you tell I love lists?!
I’m excited for the New Year and for all the things that will happen. The older I get the more I’ve learned to trust my gut. And my gut tells me that 2018 is going to be a stellar year.
Some goals that I will focus on for the year is to nourish the great relationships that I have. I have so many great people in my life that have stuck with me through the good and the bad. So I’m going to make an effort to spend more time with them.
I’m also going to manage my time better. I now have a dedicated office with a door so I can block out distractions. I can be more focused on my writing time.
My wish for each of you as you enter into this New Year is to find what makes you happy and then do it. Time is very precious and it goes by so fast. Don’t waste time doing something you hate. Find your passion, and then go for it! Block out the negative voices and the haters and follow your path. We are all here for a reason. Don’t waste your reason.
