This was a long and well needed holiday weekend. We fried fish and had home made ice cream (think I need a new ice cream maker :( ). Afterwards we headed over to a friend’s land and played a few round of dominos, and then watched fireworks. The moon was full and hazy and gave me a sense of gratitude. Then on Sunday we hung out around the house and smoked some chicken breasts on the pellet grill and watched a move, Patriots Day. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it. Best movie I’ve seen in a while. It’s about the Boston marathon bombing and how the police and FBI tracked down the domestic terrorists who set off two bombs during the marathon. It reminded me of the America I know, where people build and support each other. It also reminded me that our freedom isn’t free. I am grateful I live in America and I’m grateful for those who’ve died for my freedom. May it never be forgotten.
